leader Kevin Walker, began their musical journey together in 1990. for the past sixteen years, they have sharpened their skills, and prepared themselves for the task of using their gifts and talents for the purpose of affecting positive change in all those who hear their music.
as well as out of town shows with their group KellyRed & the HammerHeads, a funky/blues band for many years. The band has worked for Mr. Jeff Ruby at most of his establishments for the past four years, as well as many of the other up- scale night life spots in the area. Wedding receptions, corporate parties, outdoor festivals and fairs are also a regular part of the schedule of Cincinnati's hardest working, most loved band. KellyRed & the HammerHeads has been the subject of many newspaper and television news stories in the Tri-State area, receiving a lot of positive attention for the many fundraising campaigns that they lend themselves to. The band regularly performs for The American Red Cross' "Ride the Red" campaign, Saint Mark's Church in Lexington, Kentucky for KidsNet, and Pro-Kids CASA Cincinnati chapter just to mention a few. The band appeared this year with Regis Philbin, and has upcoming scheduled performances with Bill Cosby and Tiger Woods.
Described as "Entertainment with a Higher Purpose", the songs comprising the "Hope Show" are absolutely food for your soul. Kelly has written the song "This Wish", a song about surviving a "less than ideal" childhood with which many can identify. Many other well known tunes such as Clapton's "Change the World", Sting's "Let Your soul Be Your Pilot" are implemented in this musical tale of hope.
